Kawaguchiko Lake

I hesitated between taking the train or walking there, finally I went on foot. It’s only a 4 km walk anyway!
This lake is one of the most famous of the 5 lakes of the region, it is big enough to have a bridge that divides it. A 20km tour.
I confess that I don’t have the courage to go around it, it took me more than one hour of walking to get there and there are a lot of tourists.

I walk away a little bit by the lake, smells of flowers wander in the air. Even if it is hot, one feels the mixture of all these flowers, roses of all the colors, jasmines, lilies of the valley, lilies and others that I recognize because one also finds some in Belgium.

This mixture associated with fir trees and other conifers gives a pleasant feeling of well-being.

I find a bank where I can land and I settle on what can be called a beach. A few minutes later, a fisherman comes to discuss with me, he has visited Paris and St Michel.

I stayed there, peacefully, for almost 2 hours. So I wonder if this would be a place where I could take Nico on Sunday. He only has one day off this week.
On the way back, I see a small path that leads to a high viewpoint. With the current furnace, I have a hard time breathing while climbing the stairs. This climb allows me to get out of the sun among the trees.

I notice that there are several landings and not a living soul in the surroundings. It is a fact that tourists remain cloistered in a tiny part of the lake but do not venture further. Such a view my friends!

I continue to climb and the view of the lake in height is just splendid. I try to take a picture of a small black and white bird, but so fast that I can’t get it.

But it is at this moment that I hear a majestic cry, that of an eagle flying above me.

I observe it for a long time and take pictures.

I come down from the mountain, and I stop in front of a Cheese Cake Garden to enjoy a small portion of cheese cake, my favorite dessert. I deserve it for my birthday 😉

The day passes very quickly, it’s almost 4pm, I’ll be back in a good hour. I’m going to go back to my man who will soon finish his work day.

In the evening, we had dinner at Motenashiya Mitsuboshi, a restaurant divided into isolated rooms in order to have some privacy.
