The last days at Mount Fuji
I take the opportunity to stroll in the shopping malls and rejuvenate myself at Lake Kawaguchiko, I must say that it gives a soothing air.
Knowing that the last week will be spent in Tokyo, the megapolis, it is good to take full advantage of this lake, of the fullness that it brings.
The last day, I go up by a different way to have some height and I find a breathtaking view of the lake, quiet, far from the tourists and the noise.
I stay there long enough for some young Americans to come and talk to me, asking me if it is possible to reach the highest point of the mountain. In the middle of the forest yes, but otherwise it’s by cable car. I admit that the access by the forest was a bit dangerous because of the difference in level and the density of this one.
I go back down and continue my way to the other side to join the bridge. It is at this moment that I remain speechless.
The emergence of the sacred mountain beyond the lake and the mountains is of unrivalled radiance.
I sit on a rock at the water’s edge and stay there for hours admiring the landscape.
I take again my road towards the bridge. I reach the ramp. It is longer than it seems and the walk was very pleasant. The view is just breathtaking, what a pleasant surprise, don’t you think?
It’s amazing how much respect and politeness Japanese people have. I have already been surprised in Thailand, but here it is so present. The time to stay here and analyze the environment, the reactions are the same. For sure, you can recognize them among all.
The day is coming to an end, it’s time to go home for dinner, it’s Nico’s last day too.
Tomorrow we leave for Tokyo, the capital of the thousand and one madnesses.
